Your bookkeeping in FreedomBooks never needs an outside login. Anything that talks to another company's service is a plugin. Plugins stay off until you turn them on, and FreedomBooks does all of its accounting without any of them.
Your ChatGPT account
Connect your own account through OpenAI's official Sign in with ChatGPT page. Only what a task needs goes to OpenAI, and you check the results before saving. Nothing posts on its own.
Bank transaction matching and expense tracking for jobs are coming next, after the first release.
Bank feeds
Transactions come in from your bank through SimpleFIN, using a SimpleFIN account you set up and pay for yourself. Rules you write suggest matches and categories. FreedomBooks waits for you to accept each transaction.
Invoice email
Send invoices from Gmail, Microsoft 365 or any SMTP server.
How plugins behave
Each plugin signs in to your own account with that service. We don't resell anyone's service or sit in the middle of it. The sign-in details are stored encrypted inside your company file, and disconnecting a plugin removes them.
Anything a plugin brings in, like a bank transaction, arrives as something for you to accept or save. None of them post to your books on their own.
